I have a habit of doodling leaves and vines. The idea of using tempera colours was due to what I had in stock after my art restoration course. These are the firsts of my experiment with tempera colours. I decided one day to create a piece with our names to hang at home. I started having requests from a friend and a colleague. I did not have the intention of turning my art into  a career back then, and gave them away. 

          I re-started again in 2019, doing some as Christmas gifts and back in Singapore for some friends that had started their own families. 

         I got my first commission, paid for a reasonable price, still shy to charge the "right" price for my work. Some things are priceless. Every creation is like a child born. I was hesitant to price my works as I felt embarrassed charging friends, more so for the love of what I do, which brought me endless joy and hence I cannot put a price tag on it.

          Each piece required six to ten hours of work. All letters have a gold outline, followed by a dark outline to make the gold stand out on the beige paper.
