This series was inspired by my evening walks along the River Arno in Florence. On a calm night, the reflection of buildings along the river is as clear as the mirror reflection. The effect is calming and it was during these walks that I too, can reflect upon myself.

I started creating other cities of interest. Singapore, my native country of course, and the third was New York City, where chances in life just happen to bring me back several times.

My interest on applying different colour palettes on the same drawing was applied in these pieces. One half with colour and the reflected half in black and white. Or vice versa? As C.S. Lewis wrote: "We are mirrors, whose brightness is wholly derived from the sun that shines upon us."
